What Is GRA Certification (and How to Verify Your Moissanite)
What GRA is
GRA (Gra Lab) is an independent gemological laboratory that grades moissanite and issues a certificate documenting the stone's specifications. Think of it as the moissanite world's equivalent of a diamond grading report.
What's on the certificate
A GRA report lists the stone's carat weight, color grade (ours are D — colorless), cut, clarity, dimensions, and a unique report number. Keep it with your records; it travels with the piece.
How to verify your moissanite
Two easy checks. First, the report number on your GRA certificate identifies your specific stone. Second, a moissanite/diamond tester will read genuine moissanite as moissanite — and it passes a basic thermal diamond tester, since it conducts heat like diamond. Glass and cheaper imitations fail both.
What we include
Every Airwaves moissanite piece ships with its GRA certificate in the box, so you always have documentation of exactly what you bought.
Questions
Does every Airwaves piece include a GRA certificate?
Yes — every moissanite piece ships with its GRA certificate in the box.
Is GRA the same as GIA?
No. GIA grades diamonds; GRA specializes in moissanite. Both are gemological labs, but they certify different stones.
